Green Day: Rock Band to Include Full Dookie, American Idiot Albums?

American Idiot It’s a multi-platinum selling album, a soon-to-be Broadway musical, and now also a soon-to-be complete Rock Band experience? According to the listing on retail website Play.com (via Kotaku), Green Day: Rock Band is to include the band’s 2005 album American Idiot in its entirety, along with their seminal 1994 album Dookie as well.

Combined, this would account for 27 of the game’s promised 47 tracks; 13 from American Idiot, and 14 from Dookie. In addition to that, the listing also says that if you import the six currently available DLC songs from their latest album, 21st Century Breakdown, that album would be completed as well — meaning the game will feature the remaining 12 songs on the disc. So that should account for 39 of the 47 total songs. Add in a couple of other songs that Harmonix has confirmed — “Brain Stew/Jaded” from Insomniac and “Hitchin’ a Ride” from Nimrod — and we’re nearly at the full track-listing.

Do note, though, that none of these albums have actually been confirmed by Harmonix to be included on Green Day Rock Band yet — so far all we have to go on is the listing on Play.com. Still, they’ve previously promised the game would feature “Green Day’s most-defining albums and key moments throughout their career to date,” and we would certainly classify Dookie and American Idiot as their two most-defining albums. Once we get confirmation one way or another, we’ll pass it on. Green Day: Rock Band is set for release on June 8.
