Killzone 2, Infamous and More Being Added to PS3 Greatest Hits
More games are being given the PlayStation 3 red stripe of honour and being added to the Greatest Hits collection. A NeoGAF post noted a Wal-Mart flyer advertising a variety of Greatest Hits games, some of which are new to the line-up. Killzone 2, Infamous, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet GOTY, and UFC 2009 Undisputed are all apparently on their way to becoming cheaper.
We’re not sure when the new Greatest Hits versions will start coming to stores, but if a flyer is advertising the games, they should be hitting retail soon. The flyer mentions the price at £29.83, but we’re sure the MSRP at most stores will be the standard £29.99. If you’ve been waiting on getting any of these games, it’s probably a good idea to wait just a little longer and save some money in the process.
Xbox 360 Longplay [002] Naruto: Rise of a Ninja (Part 6 of 10)
www.longplays.net Played By rickyc Youtube version has the anime cutscenes cut out. So things might jump a little after during missions and you’ll probably won’t know whats going on. Youtube also messed up the second half of the videos causing stuttering and screen Its a 100% popularity run, normally doing the odd side mission after the main missions. I then complete and do most of the side missions after I’ve learnt to walk on water after the exam.

Corporate Shuffling at Activision Results in New COO
Activision is shaking up its corporate structure, upon the promotion of former Chief Financial Officer Thomas Tippl to Chief Operating Officer. Gamasutra reports that along with Tippl’s promotion, Activision Blizzard is splitting its properties into four units. They will be centered around the Call of Duty franchise, internal properties such as Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk, licensed games, and Blizzard Entertainment.
Philip Earl will be heading up the Call of Duty division in the absence of Jason West and Vince Zampella. Maria Stipp is set to head the internal property group, and David Oxford from Activision Value is said to be put in charge of the licensed games division. Blizzard will remain under the leadership of Mike Morhaime. Each of them will report to Tippl, though he is remaining in his current role as CFO until a replacement is found. Under his new title he’ll be earning £850,000 per year, with percentage increases agreed upon by the Board and bonuses based on company performance. He’ll also be receiving stock options, which have served CEO Bobby Kotick well.
Amid the restructuring news, though, comes word that lower level employees in the U.K. may soon have their positions cut. Job losses are expected in I.T. and marketing, along with some publishing positions. “Like any successful business, Activision Publishing consistently works to align its cost with its revenues – this is an ongoing process,” the company said in a statement.
Wizardry Sequel Hits DS
Japanese publisher Genterprise officially revealed Wizardry: The Legacy of Oblivion in magazines over there this week. The 3D dungeon RPG will be out July 29 over there for 5229 yen, and as with Wizardry: The Wedge of Life, it’ll be available for sale exclusively on Amazon’s Japanese website.
Depicting the adventures of a group of fighters working separately from the crew in the last game, The Legacy of Oblivion features the same six-person dungeon hacking action that the Wizardry series has served up for nearly 30 years now. In addition to new monster and dungeon types, the new game features a variety of system improvements — most of which, from an auto-walk feature to an upgraded menu tree for your party’s camp, serve to up the tempo of the adventure.

Marvelous Announces Followars for iPad
Over in Japan this week, Marvelous Entertainment took the wraps off Followars, a game which (if all goes well) will be the first from a Japanese outfit to come out on Apple’s upcoming iPad device.
A casual social game, Followars lets you construct an RPG-style fighter based off your Twitter account, with stats like hit points and agility automatically generated by number of tweets and so forth. You and up to three people you follow can band together to form parties, which can clash against rival groups onscreen using a very simple battle system.
“It plays out something like chess,” said designer Kenichi Nishi, the Japanese game maker behind such offbeat titles as Nintendo’s Chibi-Robo. “Two players gather around a single iPad and battle each other. Depending on the results, you’ll be able to earn experience points and have your characters improve their skills and such.”
All About Vanquish’s Story
San Francisco may be home to gilded cable cars, hilly boulevards, and the £500/month parking space, but if the foes of Platinum Games’ Vanquish get their way, you won’t have much problem finding a space for your Escalade on a Friday night any longer.
Will Wright’s Next Project is a Reality TV Show?
After Will Wright left EA Maxis last year, it’s been anyone’s guess what the man behind SimCity, The Sims, and Spore would do next. But how many people guessed “co-creator of experimental reality cable television series”?
According to “planning documents” obtained by IGN, that seems to be exactly what Wright’s up to. The documents reveal that Wright has partnered with Albie Hecht, former president of Spike TV and Nickelodeon, to create a series tentatively called The Creation Project, which is set up with Current TV.
Although the show actually has nothing to do with videogames, it does still focus on a consistent theme in all of Wright’s titles: user creativity. The show will be an experiment in viewer interaction, allowing people to submit story ideas online and through mobile devices. Other viewers will then get to vote for their favorite ideas, and the winning storyline will be produced as two half-hour episodes. Wright’s involvement in the series also stems around the creation of the “StoryMaker Engine,” software that lets viewers quickly create storyboards for their submissions using pre-existing images or pictures that viewers can import themselves.
