can the american version of the 360 elite get the rrod?

i know the uk version is immune to the rrod but someone told me there not but they are from america so r there ones not immune? if so thats a bit anoying for them

I don’t know where you’re getting your facts, but the Xbox 360’s chance of getting the RROD varies per version, with the Elite now having roughly a 9-17% chance across the board.

No 360 is immune from faults. Don’t want to offend any 360 owners as it may be an awesome console when it’s working, but Microsoft made them all broken. There’s RROD, E74 errors, & DVD drives that scratch circles on your discs (see youtube.com/?v=UbaJgEjY-s8 for more info on that one). The DVD thing is now so common that Blockbusters having started putting scratch repair machines in their shops to try make money out of xbox customers misfortune. Microsoft say they have fixed the problems on the newer units, but having spoken to shop staff at Game about 3 weeks ago, I was told they are still receiving 360’s in on a daily basis with various problems, & this includes the Falcon & Jasper chipsets.

Just so you can call me a fanboy if you want, yes, I am a PS3 owner, & wouldn’t touch the 360 with a barge pole. It’s nothing to do with the console itself as there’s some good games I wouldn’t mind playing (Fable II.. I so want a PC release date for this), but something that unreliable should never have been released until Microsoft fixed it, I don’t care how good the warranty is. If this was your car in the shop every 3 months because of a manufacturing defect, you’d be a tad peeved, & want a permanent solution or your money back.
