    @Oedlander square enix only involvement is making the trailer itself, Eidos simply outsourced the job to them so that Eidos can focus on the game itself.

    awesome trailer, so it´s doing it´s job, many people look at this and think it reflect the whole game “zomg no Deus ex 3 is gonna be mindless shooter!”

    relax, what we see here is the same tactics Hollywood uses for movie trailers, taking out a action tid bit to entice and thrill the viewer. This trailer in no way should be seen as representing the whole game, just the action part.

    I never really cared for trailers, just to inform me that game is actually in development. I have hopes for this game and I simply won’t based my opinion on just a CGI trailer. Hell maybe they’ll use that blade shit for stealth or not. If it does turn out to be LOLFPSZ (Which I hope not) then whatever, life goes on cause it’s simply a game. But they’re no gameplay just yet to base any criticism just yet.

    That’s exactly it. . . all trailers today are much or less the same. Why? Because more or less games today are the same too. Make a shitty shooter, add some RPG elements and call is DeusEx 3 or Bioshock or whatever.

    @jorge17384 the game is said to be primarily 1st person but 3rd person is to be used when the player uses the games planed cover system or when using some augmentations

    of course this is not set in stone and might change before release.

    Just look at how many games exaggerate in their trailers (Just to Obviously Hype it Up for Potential Sales), and then when you finally play them
    . . . . .

    You think i didn’t play the first game?

    That’s the point, DeusEx was slow paced and it wasn’t completely combat oriented. The whole trailer reeks of an action packed shitfest, the sword arm thingy isn’t necessarily the crux of the problem.

    The whole mechanic human thing, blade arm and shit would be understandable if you played the 1st game.

    Simply don’t mock until the game has been actually released and played.
