there are 2 things i dont like about this game,
1) its too confusing! you keep going upside down, then back right and then upside down…etc
2) its a lot more.. “baby ish” then Mario sunshine and Mario 64.
i personally wish i had not bought it.
i think it was a bad idea to make the game a “jump to the next planet game”
PS: i really loved and played to a finish: Mario 64, and sunshine (gamecube).

I bought this for my 6 year old grandson. His Mum and Dad play it as well. I do get to wonder who I bought it for. I went round to see him the other day, and was told by all that I would quickly get addicted.
It just confirmed that games are not for me. Mario Kart (as all car racing games) makes me feel car sick. Mario Galaxy leaves me completely cold.
Sadly my vices are more expensive, I like learning AutoCad (£3400 + VAT) or Adobe software (£1300+ VAT).
Anyway Jude enjoys it, which is what matters.

I bought Super Mario Galaxy a couple of weeks ago after reading reviews on many different websites that said Super Mario Galaxy was the game of the year and gave it extremely high ratings.
After playing super mario for about 10mins the first thing that struck me was that the supposed ‘incredible visuals’ in the game did not appear to be so incredible but i continued to play the game anyway. As i got further into the game i realised that it almost no storyline, the storyline is about as complex as one of the earlier Mario games from the 90’s. There is hardly any action in the game worth noting apart from jumping on certain creatures……that is as action packed as it gets and most of the puzzles are very easy aswell.
I didn’t bother to try and complete this game, i sold it halfway through to get my money back and i’m glad i did.
To summarise, this is an unbelievably boring, overated, uneventful game and i would advise anybody considerinig buying this game to reconsider.

Mario, Nintendo’s iconic character and – for some arcane reason – the most popular platformer out there.
Seriously, how many rehashes of these games with this weak and silly character are they going to make? This is not innovative…
I’m sure this game (like any game with the name Mario) appeals to the Nintendo junkies out there, but people with a brain and some objectivity will gain nothing from playing this game.
Since entering the 3D era, we have seen 3 Mario games, but they are in actuality only one game published 3 times. But I guess this is what Nintendophiles want.
Hah, they tried a small change with the locales and characters in Mario Sunshine, but Nintendo players don’t want anything new. They went in a frenzy. And behold, we are back in Mushroom Kingdom.
This game supposedly takes place in a giant spaceship where there are portals to different galaxies, but they all just lead into Mushroom Kingdom. The only difference in these worlds is a varying gravity. Like Mario Sunshine with its silly waterpump, Mario Galaxy revolves around this one feature. The rest is direct copy from Mario 64. Not very innovative.
One good point about this game is that at least they bothered to upgrade it to Wii graphical level. The game is pretty. But Nintendo wasn’t supposed to be about graphics.
The Wii controls fit in pretty well, and the auto camera works fine most of the time.
CLOSING COMMENTS:
Super Mario Galaxy is one of the worst platformers I have ever played.
I suggest trying Spyro the Dragon for PS1 instead.

Now you might have read some of my reviews and they are all of games that i’ve borrowed or played but this is the first review that i’ve done where I don’t have this Game but that ain’t gonna stop me!!
Now as far as I can remember Mario is like The Who; They’ve been around for ages but you never forget about them or tire of them.
But ,and there’s always a but, there is one big difference between them; The Who came up with different ideas for there songs wheras Mario just does the same thing over and over. Apparently this game is now the fresh new improvement to Super Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube because it’s in space and on the madly brilliant P.C Wii but frankly the plot is exactly the same, you collect the same things and you still have to save the same old princess from the same old fate so if this is supposed to be fresh then why doesn’t Princess peach just call the Police, or buy a gun, or learn some crazy Judo moves to get herself unpickled. Is she called Princess peach after Peaches Geldof? Because if she keeps doing nothing and relying on the man in her life to get her out of trouble then she’s the spitting image.
Now this is a prime example of lack of imagination, and yes I can hear all the things you’re possibly mumbling under your breath, So Nintendo have always counted on changing Mario’s abilities so if you think about it Mario is like a sandwitch you can change the topping but it’s still a chease and pickle.
So finaly coming onto the big issue: The Gameplay now it’s in space and strangely there’s gravity, the bosses look like they can be toppeled with a butterfly or a flower and I’ve heard that the Wii controler isn’t that good with this Game but that’s just a rumer! Or is it?
So finally in conclusion to this is just another repeat to an adventure of an Italian plumber who we never see working who has more popularity than Halo or God. So maybe there Nintendo got a bit of research right.
