How do you get your ps3 bug to go away if you have put your user to auto log?

Basicly i have got a bug from ps3 and i cant go on it. I want to know how to make it go away and play but i have set my user to auto logging in so i always go straight to that user and it is not allowing me passed the initial screen of the wavy line and i dont know what to do.

That does not sound like the recent PS3 Bug. All the Bug did was prevent you from logging into the PSN and playing certain trophy games offline (since the PS3 was using a date that did not exist). What you are describing sounds more like a hard drive problem or other related hardware issue (your XMB menu isn’t showing up for whatever reason).

hold the power switch on the console until it gives 2 short beeps – let go
you should get a message to plug in a controller with a charge cable – now you have access to the technicians recovery menu – restore your ps3 settings
you can also restore the file system or restore the entire ps3 system including reformatting the hard drive if necessary – you might have a corrupted hdd causing this problem
