the towel trick does not cause a fire. It actualy made my 360 last for like 3 months

Ah, so it does essentially what the towel trick does, heats the gpu enough to reconnect the solder for a short time, by “squeezing” the case you are shoving it back together but it is weak and breaks soon.

The towel trick just uses the heatsink pressure to reconnect the solder… interesting.

I just got mine back in Sept 09, this is my 3rd box so far and my warranty is up soon. Lol I took out the piece of plastic on the right side of the case (if the console in laying down) to help airflow

I had to later send it in but that was a year ago or whenever… But yes it did work for about a week, if you still have warrenty call it in then apply the fix until your box gets there. If you dont have the warranty, pray to god it works? haha.

Yeah but someone told me its stupid to buy one because the xbox has to power like 3 more fans IN the cooler when the xbox was made just to power its fan(s) IN the xbox, so its using more power to power everything…causing MORE heat…

You should get a cooler for your 360 because your 360 needs room to breathe.

That or just put it in a different place where there’s cool air to cool up your system.

Yeah, I got mine back after just a day, but as long as your xbox is still under the 3 year warranty its better than nothing while waiting for that fucking box; but- the range of days that the RROD comes back vary I guess
