why do x box get certain best selling games being exclusive to them and ps3 dont?

I am puzzled as to why games such as grand theft auto are only becoming available to play on xbox 360 and not the ps3. I find this most unfair and think microsoft are being very greedy. Its like the saying who ate all the pies. It is the latest grand theft auto liberty street story’s and also the add on to grand-theft auto 5 that became available but only for the xbox.

Microsoft paid Rockstar a lot of money to have the extra content be only for the xbox. Just like Sony pays the companies that make games exclusive to the ps3.

Well first off, GTA is available for PS3. However, Microsoft signed a contract giving them exclusive rights to downloadable content for GTA. In other words you can only get the game extensions from Xbox Live, not Playstation Network.

Secondly, Microsoft is not being greedy. It’s called DOING BUSINESS. Microsoft obviously knows how to succeed, and Xbox exclusive games are part of the reason they’ve been so successful. Oh, and because nobody wants a PS3.

Ah, this is the question on so many poor sony fans’ lips during this generation of console. Microsoft were late in the game during the ps2 era, halo being their only worthwhile exclusive game on the xbox. then sony came in late in this generation, meaning that many developers had already pledged themselves to microsoft. Right now though, sony are seeing an increase in exclusive games, Final Fantasy 14 possibly being the biggest announced ps3 exclusive for the next couple of years… But Microsoft have bought out so many developers, and sold so many more hardware units at this stage that sony may be ignoring this generation of console, planning for the next. For now, Microsoft will reign supreme on the hardcore games front.

(Also, Bill Gates has a SH*TLOAD of cash!!!!! :0)

MS are desperate, DESPERATE to do anything to scupper the Playstation.

Sadly, they have to resort to paying vast fortunes for old games (lets not be shy about it, GTA *is* old), while the Playstation is moving on to new ground.

Let the 360 owners make a huge noise about GTA and its ilk, it just shown up their nature.

If Microsft are being greedy for Grand Theft Auto, Halo, Gears of War, Fable, Dead or Alive and Project Gotham Racing, then Sony are being equally greedy with Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted, Killzone, God of War, Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet and so forth.

Seriously, this is an idiotic question. It’s the same with any stupid console fanboy, regardless of whether they are pro-Microsoft or pro-Sony – they will dance and brag about the exclusives they have on their chosen console, but the moment anything comes out on the other, they jump up and down on the spot and cry about it. Seriously, we’re talking actual tears. All of them.

Grow up. I chose one console and am happy with my decision, therefore do not feel the need to go around trying to justify it.

Dont worry too much about it cos its just a DLC. Its a bussiness u lose some u get some. I m fanboy of no one. I have a PS3 & I like it very much. But like foolish fanboy I wont say that the PS3 is better & all that shit. I think XBOX 360 is also a good console.

I wish there were no exclusive games for ne consoles. I m not shy to say that I wish to play games like Halo, Gears of War, Left 4 Dead. And I know that all the xbox360 fanbys wish to play the games like MGS 4, Kill Zone 2, Uncharted 2 etc.

Dont u fools get it that with every exlusive game we r the ones who lose.
