Posted by admin On September - 5 - 2010

I know that you can buy ps1, ps2 and ps3 games online, but how do you get the money. i am in Australia and i am 17, therefore, i have no credit card. Is it like iTunes where you go buy vouchers? or what? how do i get money online?

Sorry if this is no help but:

You need a credit card, if not you can only access free demos ect.

Try asking a parent / guardian to buy a certain game for you, if not a friend. Pay them back with front up cash.

go to your local game store or any store that sells PSN points/cash/currency cards. like with other consoles they offer money voucher codes within these cards. in other words you dont need a credit card, just one of those cards, and an internet connection on your ps3. then all you gotta do is go on the PSN store and click one of those buttons in the corner and there you will be asked to enter the code from the card.

I have no clue if they sell them in Australia but you can also get playstation network cards that have money on them at like Walm-Mart. They’ll have a code on them you enter by going to “Account Management…Tansaction Management…then Transfer to wallet”

There are a few ways to get money for the playstation network they include: Credit Card, Debit Card, Playstation Network Card, or a Game Card. Credit card and Debit cards are pretty simple and easy to understand but the playstation network cards can be bought at some retail stores and the problem with them is you have to pay tax on it and all so you end up paying more than you would have with a credit card and all though only a couple bucks more. Then some games offer the ability for you to buy them in the store but only buy a card not the actual game, the card gets activated and you pay in cash then you go home and enter the code on the back and you can download the game free. I think there is a god of war game that does this right now for PSP and stuff but not too many others really do it. So if you don’t have a credit card or a debit card and your parents or something won’t let you use theirs well you can go to a retail store and probably get a PSN card that is the only option you have. I hope you have fun gaming
