Every time I search for a game someone else is the host and if they leave the game ends which is annoying as hell. Also when I click to start a match my privacy options are closed or invite only. Please tell me how to be host. Thanks.

Hi, I have just got the dreaded red ring of death on my Xbox for the first time and have rang up customer support about the repair process. Problem is though they are telling me that I have to provide the box in which I send it in. Now I may be wrong but I thought that they provided the box in the case of the RROD. When on the customer support they asked for address, then if I wanted the labels emailed or posted, I said email as its quicker.

Now it will probably go in some knackered old box with food labelling all down the side, its alright for everybody on Youtube, they get some nice box all ready for repair, is this normal from now on, if not, wheres the box?

Also if this is the case of me having to find the box, is there anything else I will have to put in with it? I know you have to remove all cables etc, but is there any paperwork such as a copy of the receipt. And does anybody have any suggestions to what box would be best.

I hear people saying, “oh you should change to NAT2″, but why excatly? Mines on NAT3 and works grand, except on Pro-Evo 2008, if i changed it to NAT2 would it work wirelessly?

Basiclly whats the big fuss?

I have an xbox live account on my xbox. Unfortunately whilst playing my xbox got the dreaded RROD, by this time I only had 115G. I got hold of my brothers friends xbox but this one was banned from going online. At the time I didn’t mind because I just wanted an xbox quick. So I put my hard drive on there and all was well. This one also got the RROD so I stopped playing for a good while, at this point I had 5045G. I went onto my boyfriends xbox and signed in with my gamertag recently and I had 115G. I know I only had 115G because that was the last time I was signed into xbox live. So when I got my brothers friends xbox I was getting gamerscore but it wasn’t going through because of the no internet problem, so on my hard drive I have 5045G. My boyfriend was disgusted by my 115G score [who wouldn't be?] and started adding points. The problem is I don’t know how it’s going to work when I get my new xbox, which is soon. Will the points I got whilst online and the ones I got whilst offline merge?
Sorry for the long question but it’s really bugging me.

I wonder what the score is now with MS repairing xbox 360s particulally for RROD.

I’ve just sent mine back via UPS all the way to Frankfurt in Germany which seems a long way from the UK, even if they repair it i can imagine it’ll be knackered again by the time it gets back to me.

It’s 18 months old so still under the 3 yr warranty, is it true they are exchanging the consoles for a brand new unit now?
If not, has anyone had the RROD rcome back after an official repair?
Are they using the brand new chips (called Jasper i think) that come in the latest consoles?

I’m really at a cross roads with this, if the problem returns then i’m going to junk it and buy a PS3 which sound a million times more reliable.
