I have a PS3 slim 120Gb, but thinking of selling it and my 16 games to Gamestation for around £327, and picking up the new Xbox 360 Slim. Is this a wise choice?

I like the PS3 with it’s exclusive titles, however, the online just feels so dead and hardly anyone speaks. Minority of my friends have it, but yet we don’t play eachothrr as much or talk as much on it at all.
My HDTV is also a small 20″ so 1080p doesn’t really bother me or I can’t notice the difference between bluray or DVD, I just care about watching the movie really.

I have skyHD in the house, so could I watch sky for free on xbox? And how reliable is the Xbox 360 Slim? RROD is what scares me…

I also don’t care about kinect, i don’t do motion controller gaming, but admit Playstation move looks more favourable to me.

ALSO; my mum has gone to TalkTalk broadband and apparently they have issues with online gaming – especially PS3, even with virgin I had issues playing FIFA online. 
How stable is xbox 360 connection?

I’m on the second island but I haven’t yet become infamous , about to start the story with the three ships and have done 10 evil side quests . I’ve been attacking civilians and destroying cars but it doesn’t seem to impact my karma rating . Any ideas , or am I capped on this island ?

I have an Xbox360 that has been repaired twice at the Microsoft center for RROD. now that I have it back about 90% of the time with my HD put in to the xbox, when I try to play a game I get that message “Please put this game in an xbox360″ and it shows “Play DVD” instead of “Play _____ Game” on the console drawer menu.

I thought it was a bad laser, but I heard a tip that if I remove the HD, and try again it might work. Sure enough…. EVERY time I unhook the HD and start to play a game it works every time. So I figure, alright, its a bad HD. except my friend brought over his HD and put it in and I get the same exact problem. I bring my HD over to my friends house and it works fine. Its just on my XBOX that its having issues. Any Ideas?!?!
No, I don’t have an HDDVD Reader. So I’m putting the game in the main console disk reader. when I mention HD, I’m referring to Hard Drive (not High Definition).

My dilemma is this; Buy an Xbox 360 on 2nd November with birthday money, or save the money to get a 3DS when it comes out in March. I want an Xbox 360 Elite at least (lesser chance of RROD etc), and might get a little money for Christmas. I am currently keeping my eye on the pre-owned Xbox 360 Elite and FIFA 11 or Halo: Reach deal for £120 at GAME. Your thoughts?
Great answers guys, as I originally planned I think I’m getting the Xbox Might get the Halo: Reach limited edition one not sure. And, unlike my friends, I haven’t broken any electrical item in my life so that shouldn’t be a problem. I will have to get over my obsession for getting the 3DS at launch date I suppose
