Just bought a second hand ps3 8o gig and trying to set up my account it told me to plug an ethernet cable!But i thought ps3 were built in wireless?

i had my xbox elite repaired from rrod and its now been returned. now it cannot obtain ip address. i have tried every solution offered. however it works when i plug ethernet in, but i want to use wireless adapter. is this issue related to its repair? while it was being repaired i was playing on another xbox with the same adapter. i recently tested that xbox and it still works.

This is basically an xbox 360 with the 20GB hard drive and a wireless network adapter (for the xbox 360). Would really appreciate a good estimate.

Do you have to use the Microsoft Wireless adapter to connect the Xbox 360 to the internet via wireless or can you just buy a USB wireless adapter for about a tenner and use that instead?

I have the old Microsoft Broadband Networking Xbox Wireless Adapter; Model: MN-740. And all of a sudden last week my Xbox 360 told me no Wireless Adapters are connected. The adapter has three green lights, one-power, two-wireless, three-Xbox. and the Xbox one will not light up. I know it is not the Adapter itself and I know it is not the connection cord. Someone have any ideas on whats wrong???
