Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke really gets around. When he’s not battling Necromorphs or the legions of hell, he apparently enjoys skateboarding.

The Dead Space Facebook page has a few shots of Isaac Clarke grinding and performing other tricks in Skate 3. Special bonus points for the fact that he’s apparently pulling them all off while wearing his bulky spacesuit.

Isaac Clarke is unlockable by entering the code “DEADSPACETOO” in Skate 3. He’s previously popped up in Dante’s Inferno, which was also developed by Visceral. Dead Space, Skate and Dante’s Inferno are all published by EA.

Even if you’re not looking for a job in game development, you might still be interested in a new job listing from Visceral Games — especially if you enjoyed Dante’s Inferno. The Gamasutra listing was picked up on by Superannuation, and judging by the project description, it looks like Visceral may indeed be working on Dante’s Inferno 2.

“This project is the sequel to a major new IP at the award-winning Visceral Games, creators of Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno,” the project description explains. Since Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno are indeed the only two recent new IP’s at Visceral Games, and since we already know they’re working on Dead Space 2, the process of elimination leaves us with Dante’s Inferno 2. Sure, the listing could in fact be for the still-in-development Dead Space 2, but that seems unlikely; Dead Space 2 is named elsewhere in the job post, so if this position was for that project, Visceral probably would have straight-up said so.

There’s also the fact that Jonathan Knight, executive producer of Dante’s Inferno, has previously expressed his desire to make a sequel. Talking about the difficulty of potentially making a franchise out of self-contained work of classic literature, Knight said that it’s “a problem I hope to have to solve by earning the right to do a follow up.”

Four more fan favorites have joined the Marvel vs Capcom 3 roster, according to the latest issue of Game Informer (via Kotaku). Deadpool and Captain America join up from Marvel canon, while Dante and Felicia from Capcom titles enter the arena. The characters had already been guessed at from a silhouetted picture launched by Capcom, but now the four are confirmed.

These latest additions bring the known selection up to ten, counting the six we knew from the trailer (above): Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man, Ryu, Morrigan, and Chris Redfield. The full game is said to be aiming for about 30 characters, so even counting these new additions, we don’t know half of the roster yet.

I never thought I’d be able to draw comparisons with the loveable world of LittleBigPlanet and the terrifying horrors of Dante’s Inferno, but the Trials of St. Lucia DLC proves me wrong. What’s basically a challenge mode is transformed into a hub for unlimited user-generated content.

In the walkthrough video above, lead designer Greg Rizzer talks up the new content for Visceral’s violent action game, offering up tips for survival and how to get a high score. Those looking to score some more action with Dante’s Inferno need to look no further. With players offering new trials designed by themselves, you’re sure to never run out of things to do/slaughter.

Dante’s Inferno

One of Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno developer Visceral Games’ unrevealed projects will “impress & surprise,” ex DICE producer Gordon Van Dyke believes.

Van Dyke, who started at Visceral this week, took to Twitter to tease the project, “I can’t say anything about the project I’m starting on, but our Execs always leak stuff to investors during their presentations,” he said, later adding, “First day at Visceral went great, even though most of it was orientation. I think this project is going to impress & surprise gamers.”

Visceral has a few unconfirmed and rumored projects in the works, namely the down-load-only The Ripper and Dead Space: Planet Cracker. An XBLA/PSN port of the Nintendo Wii’s Dead Space: Extraction is possible as well.

Then again, it may well be something completely unheard of.
