the only way i can turn the xbox on is with the controller
then everything works fine
i cant eject the dvd drive because theres a disk in there
i dont have the rrod its all working but the power button and the dvd drive wont work even though the dvd drive spins i dont get it lol
its actually well annoying

I am no technie so I am asking if anybody knows if I can use my PS3 for dvd/bluray and somehow connect my pioneer dvd/surround sound system so I can use the surround sound ?
My Pioneer dvd player for some reason does no play region 2 dvd’s anymore, but does play region 0, however I now use my PS3 for movies but would like to use the pioneer for surround sound.
Any suggestions?

I want to store dvds onto my ps3 and have heard i can do this by dvd shrink. how does this work, as in how do I download it and put it on the ps3 and how do I then store dvds onto it?

I have 2 broken XBOX 360. 1 x with a broken dvd the other with the RRoD.
Can I just swap the dvd players over or is it not that simple

After fixing the RROD, I figured I should put a few fans in the xbox. Well, three fans and one LED later, this is what I ened up with. This is my first Xbox mod, I learned a few things that would help out on the next mod I’ll do. There’s a few video’s out there that grab the 12v from the DVD rom. I don’t agree with those video’s. It’ll put more strain on your dvd drive and motherboard if your running multiple fans and accessories. If you have three fans running off the 12v dvd, it’s going to draw more power off the small wire designed for the dvd and may either heat up the wire, or cause a short on the motherboard. I’m sure it works, but I wouldn’t do it.
