Classic Game Room HD – GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS review
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GRAND THEFT AUTO SAN ANDREAS for the Playstation 2 video game console PS2. As we all await GRAND THEFT AUTO on the Playstation 3 PS3 we can blow up the entire world created by Rockstar Games in this amazing part of the GTA series. You are CJ, thug gangsta hustler who starts out in Ganton and rises to the top like Scarface meets Boys in the Hood. San Andreas is known for it’s amazing soundtrack (like Vice City) featuring rap and hip hop artists like Eazy E, NWA, Ice Cube, Slick Rick, Tupac and Gangstarr just to name a few. The great tunes of the 90’s like Soundgarden, Helmet, Alice in Chains, Billy Idol and Rage Against the Machine are there as well to fill your radio dial with angst as you mercilessly wipe out the cities of Las Venturas, Los Santos and San Fiero. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. Splinter Cell: Conviction sneaks to the top of the UK charts
Splinter Cell: Conviction’s debut has secured the No. 1 spot in the UK charts, displacing previous chart topper Just Dance; pretty terrific news if you happen to be affiliated with Ubisoft. Rockstar’s tangible release of Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City has managed to nab third place, demoting the perpetually entertaining, Gustav popping Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to fourth.
Pokémon SoulSilver slips one place to eighth, while Pokémon HeartGold drops two places to eleventh – I’ve always wondered what exactly makes one version of Pokémon sell more than its counterpart, is it because having the version with ‘heart’ in the title makes you a wuss or something?

Open-world game with user-generated content headed to PS3?

While discussing Grand Theft Auto’s possible future on their official podcast, Ben Wilson, Editor-In-Chief for Official PlayStation Magazine UK, let slip that something different is coming down the pipe for the PS3.
“There is another game that we can’t talk about – I’d love to – that we know where it’s an open-world game that’s coming out this year,” Wilson says. “Everyone’s looking at me confused – this is genuinely true”.
He says that while he’s “not making this up,” the game will be set in an open-world environment “where people will be able to design their own missions online and share them.”

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City Review
The fact that the console-exclusivity deal for these episodes has finally run out doesn’t diminish the fact that these are two quality games bundled together for forty bucks (or less depending on where you’re looking). This collection (in my opinion) is far superior to that of the original release of Grand Theft Auto 4 itself — more radio stations, better vehicle controls, and a much better checkpoint system during missions help round out the list of improvements. And while there is absolutely nothing different content-wise from the Xbox 360 version (that’s the official word from Rockstar), Episodes from Liberty City is a must-have for every Grand Theft Auto fan who never had a chance to play the better-half of this nearly two year old game.
First off, The Lost and Damned delivers more of everything that defines the venerable Grand Theft Auto series: car chases, firefights, kidnappings, colorful characters, and controversies. It’s still the same Liberty City, but the character development of the new protagonist, Johnny Klebitz, and Billy Grey, president of the eponymous biker gang The Lost (and one of the better characters to appear in the series), helps this expansion feel worth it. Together, they tell an engaging story about brotherbonnet, responsibility, honour, sacrifice, and knowing when to walk away from a fight.
U.K. Classrooms Using Grand Theft Auto as Learning Tool
Students in the U.K. county of Merseyside are learning about violence from a product all-too-familiar to gamers: Grand Theft Auto. The BBC reports on the Merseyside Police Department and a charity group called Support After Murder and Manslaughter (SAMM), who’ve organized a program at local schools to teach 10 and 11-year-old children about the difference between right and wrong — and, likewise, the distinction between real and unreal.
SAMM calls the workshops “Get Real,” and they use everything from Grand Theft Auto screenshots to Itchy and Scratchy clips from The Simpsons to educate kids about good and bad behavior. These images are mixed with flashcards featuring real-life photos of intoxicated adults and arguing parents, and the students are asked to differentiate between the good, the bad, the real, and the unreal.
“Almost any media can be edited to be educational and if the material already attracts children’s interest, it can have a greater impact on them,” explained a Liverpool City Council spokes-person. “This may well be depicting knife-using car thieves as the selfish morons that they are — which of course we would welcome.”
