Japanese Tracks Coming to Rock Band?
While some might say rhythm games have reached a saturation point in the U.S. and Europe, Japanese gamers are still waiting for the original Rock Band. Lumines developer Q Entertainment was tapped to deliver a localized version way back in 2008, but it’s been crickets on that front ever since.
So what gives? According to an interview with Harmonix’s John Drake on Rock Band Aide (via Destructoid), a standalone Japanese release seems pretty unlikely at this point. But that’s not to say there’s no hope at all for Japanese music in Rock Band.
Harmonix recently approached music site JRock Revolution with an idea for a poll asking fans which Japanese artists they’d like to see in the game. While it’s no guarantee any of these bands will show up in a future Rock Band release or as DLC, it’s certainly encouraging to see the developer gauging interest.

Live Marketplace points can now be purchased in 400, 800, and 1600 point bundles
![]()
For the past 4 1/2 years, one of life’s more unpleasant annoyances has been having to buy £12.50 worth of points to buy a £10 game. We don’t know exactly when, but very recently Microsoft changed the pricing structure for the procurement of Microsoft Points in the North American market. From the Live marketplace, points are now available in 400, 800, 1600, and 4000 increments for £4.99, £9.99, £19.99, and £49.99 respectively. These align themselves much better with the current pricing structure of Live Arcade titles than the old standard of 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000 point increments.
It still doesn’t fix the possible conniption you might have if, say, you have 380 points lying around and you have to spend £10 to buy a 800 point game because 400 wouldn’t cut it, but I had all but given up on Microsoft ever changing it by this point, so we can’t be too upset.

What is the point of connecting my Wii console to the Internet?
Hi, could you please tell me if there is any benefits to be had by connecting my Daughter’s Wii Console to the Internet. I have a wireless hub so it shouldn’t be a problem but i just don’t understand what the point would be. Are there games out there for playing other people through the Internet? Are there excellent Wii updates lying dormant just waiting for me to connect? Your help would be greatly apprectiated.
