Mario Kart with Wii Wheel – Wii Remote Not Included

Ok for the last few days my xbox keeps freezing if its on for longer than an hour at a time or 30 mins if im playing a game on disk. It is an arcade console with a later brought 60gb hard drive. The disk drive wont open if a disk is not in it and even then it wont open without a few tries.
I have had it for about 3 years now so its probably on its way out. I have already had to send it for a RROD fix to microsoft last year.
My warranty has run out as of last month (I think) so it would cost me to send it back to them for repair.

What I thought though was that with the new xbox model coming out I might as well upgrade my old console so I wont run into this problem when I get the older console back. Although the new console would obviously cost more than a repair I could sell the old console, hard drive and wireless adaptor for at least £80 plus I have £75 coming from the Nintendo Wii I sold to my neighbour last week so its nearly all there with those two items and Im sure I could dig up some games to sell for the rest if I cant spare any of my wages by the time the console is out (saving for my hols).

So with all that should I get a repair for my faithful console or just upgrade with the new model?

I know the obvious choice but I just want somebody else’s opinion on it.
Im in the UK so that would only be about £40 for both items. Im sure I could get at least £60 for the console, hard drive and adaptor on ebay or mabye even gamestation because I still have the original box.
Oh and if anyone else reads this question.

Do microsoft still give out free data transfer kits or do we have to pay for them now?

I’ve just started using wii fit (not to lose weight) but to build stamina because I hardly have any at all. Ive lost one pound by using it for about 45 mins. Is this normal?

My gamecube is busted, but I still love all the games. Plus I know you can play the GC games on the wii, I just don’t know how? I know you put the disk in the slot.. And that’s it xD

Also Is the mario cart a good version to buy with the wii sports?

I am either getting an Xbox 360 or Wii for christmas but i don’t know which one to pick.
I mostly want the 360 coz it has the best games like GTA 4, Deadising, Halo 3, Gears of War etc.
but i don’t trust the console itself becuase i really don’t want the dreaded rrod.

I would like the Wii because i the way you play it, it’s great fun when you’re playing it with friends and it has an internent browser.
but i don’t like the fact that there are few games for someone like me.
i’m fifhteen so i tend to play teen and more mature games.

Hey guys!
I’ve had a Wii for a while and it sucks hard! I wanted a step up so I am getting an Xbox 360! I’m getting the arcade model then I’m just going to buy the hard drive later on…. HDMI output is sexxyyyyyyy =D. Anyway, I know that the Xbox 360 gets the red ring of death a lot and I would hate for that to happen to me. Is there anything I can do to make it not get the RROD? Has anyone out there actually had there Xbox for over a year and had it not get the RROD? Thanks in advance to any help!
