I’ve had my Xbox 360 for 5 years and have been able to boast that it still has not RRODed, yet just this morning it has. I have a green light on my power supply so it’s safe to say its buggered.

I’m going to buy an Arcade Xbox 360 to replace simply because it’s cheapest and I can chuck in my harddrive and be all set.

When I put my harddrive into my Arcade Xbox 360 console will I break it? I’m sure the RROD is power supply related but I want to make sure I don’t break my new console too, and also will I notice any difference with my Xbox 360 Arcade as opposed to my pro/premium package I used beforehand.

Also, do Xbox 360 Arcade console bundles come with a HDMI port in the back? Due to my console being the first model release of the Xbox 360 I have no HDMI port which means I cannot utilise my HDTV, so I would want to make sure this time around I pick up one with a HDMI port in the back.

Finally, a bit of a back alley question, but I have a flashed Xbox that is banned on Xbox Live (my friend gave it to me so I could review copied games for a website which never happened, but he allowed me to keep it anyway.) Would it possible for me to put in my original hard-drive into the flashed Xbox and still play games / earn achievments for my Xbox Live GOLD account? I don’t expect to be able to play on Xbox Live, right now all im bothered about is being able to play games on my original account. The reason I ask without trying I am worried my account will get banned if I even put my hard-drive into the flashed xbox.

My friend told me the accounts don’t get banned when playing copied games, but it is infact the Xbox 360 itself.

How much off would they give me off a PS3 if I traded in my Xbox 360 at GAME?

I’ve been panicking for ages about the release of F1 2010, because I had neither a 360 or a PS3. So imagine my joy when, on my 21st birthday, I find I’ve been given an Xbox 360, brand new, never been used before. Now imagine my disappointment, after setting it all up and ready to play, I switch it on and… bam. Immediate RROD. How!?!

Rrod Nuff said. On my non modded xbox 360. Oh well lolol

I have heard that the 20gb version of Microsoft’s xbox 360 is more prone to getting rrod than the 60gb version and the elite.Is this really and honestly true?
Are all 360’s going to get rrod?Is there a way of avoiding getting rrod?
Or will all 360’s eventually get rrod?
Give me sites for me to refer to on how to stop rrod,and how to fix rrod and how to prevent it happening?

My xbox 360 is out of warranty, and has had the RROD once, which was sent off and repaired. However, now whenever i play a game it freezes within a few minutes of playing, but there is no red ring. If i phone microsoft to see about getting it repaired, should i tell them i have the RROD once and now it just freezes without the red ring? Would they replace it for free, or would i need to pay to have it fixed?
I have done everything to try to fix it myself, short of opening it up. So i think sending it off is the only solution now. Oh, and Ouch! I own both a PS3 and an xbox 360, so stop being a ignorant fanboy!

Ive used it before with success only the last time i fixed the RROd the xbox had the AV cable, this time i don’t have one (i know this causes the console to have 4 red lights instead of 3).

Im at the part where i am going to burn out the console to create a strong contact between the CPU/GPU and heatsinks, can i do this without the AV cable being inserted into the telly?
