I sent my PS3 away to be repaired due to the YLOD, its similar to the XBOX’S RROD, and when it comes back, will all my game saves and data be wiped off it?

My ps3 has the ylod and i am unsure if it is the power supply or the hard drive. I swapped out the hard drive but stripped the screws doing so. I replaced them but i was wondering if it might still be the hard drive.

i have recently took the ps3 apart and done the fix but did not apply the compound as i dint have it should i redo the process or just apply it straight on?

I made a jig to hold down the motherboard while doing a reflow and this is a video showing you how to make it. Not only does this provide a solid mount for you to work on, but more importantly, it keeps the board from warping as much when you apply heat to the board. The jig in the video is for an Xbox 360, but it’s the same exact process for a PS3. Please refer to my PS3 YLOD Fix video for additional information on how to repair the YLOD on the PS3.
